The Faith That Makes Us Holy

Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1). God gives us faith when we are in the presence of His living and powerful word because faith is the substance  of who He is and that substance is Holy (Romans 10:17). God’s holiness is without error that makes Him perfect in all His ways because His way is higher and heavenly which produces the actions of holiness in the body of Christ (Isaiah 55:9) .

The word of God tells us in 1 Peter 1:16:

because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.”

God gifts us faith for us to be formed in the image and likeness of His holiness. To be holy is to be one with God in our mind, spirit, soul and body which makes us whole (Mark 12:29-30). When we are whole in our mind, spirit, soul and body our thoughts, words, emotions and actions are transformed into being one with God’s thoughts and ways which are holy. God resides in heaven and He desires heaven to reside in man so that His kingdom agenda will be done on earth as it is in heaven. The kingdom agenda of His Holy Spirit who gives us power, love and a sound mind to live the blessed life within the earth. We are purposed to be witnesses of God’s grace to a world that needs to become one with His holy. We can not be a witness until we first allow ourselves to become one with His holiness.

God reveals His heart in Genesis 1:26 that He wants us to be in His image and likeness that allows us to have dominion. God’s image and likeness is holy and holiness gives us dominion within the earth. Some people think God gives us grace to fall short of His glory. Although we all have fallen short of the glory of God, staying in His presence will strengthen us to become like Him.

The holy presence of God in mankind, is His Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ left the presence of the Holy Spirit to sanctify us in the image and likeness of God’s mind, spirit and soul that is His glorious body  becoming one with our mortal body (1 Corinthians 15). God’s glorious body is the immortal body that is Holy and our power to conquer the presence of death in the body.

Although God calls us to be holy, He does not expect us to obtain holiness outside of His presence. Our flesh does not have the power to become who God is, however, God’s holiness is our power to become who He is. The more we allow ourselves to be in the presence of His living and powerful word, He gives us His faith that makes us holy. Faith revealed is the seed of God’s grace being fulfilled and His grace is the power that makes us holy.

When we have faith as small as a mustard seed we are empowered to tell the mountains of problems in life to be removed and those problems will have to be removed. So next time you think about holiness, do not allow yourself to become overwhelmed thinking God expects you or I to be able to accomplish this without His presence. The only thing God expects you and I to do is enjoy His presence found in and rooted in hearing faith. God knows that when we enjoy His presence, this joy will become our holiness.
